Review: Stila eyeshadow Trio palette-Warm

Hello, today I have a review on the Stila eye shadow trio palette in Warm. This came in a Stila set I got at Costco. I originally wanted the  the palette because it had Stila's very popular Kitten eyeshadow included with two other eye shadows and that was enough to draw me in. But to my surprise I really like the other two colors and I am very happy with the  palette.
In this palette there are three colors
  • Yellow gold called Lame
  • Bronze brown called Chloe
  • Pink champagne called Kitten.

These eye shadows are all very pigmented and soft. They feel almost like  mousse in texture. However because the shadows are soft there is some fall out in application and makes the pan and palette very dirty easily. The packaging of the palette consists of sleek black plastic that is very reflective. The front has a clear slit allowing the colors of the eye shadows to peek through. The plastic feels sturdy and light but with constant use the clasp of the case broke, so my palette doesn't properly snap shut.
Overall, as this being my first Stila eye shadow palette I am really impressed. The texture and formulation of the eyeshadow is very unique. It is very different from any other eyeshadow that I own. They are soft yet pigmented and a little bit goes a long way.

Review: Stila Lash Visor Mascara

If you know me, I have always been a lashes kind of girl. I am perfectly comfortable leaving my house with nothing but mascara on yet still feeling great.  This is a review on Stilas Lash Visor mascara product. This retails for about $24 at any Stila counter and wherever Stila is sold. I have long straight lashes that have a hard time holding a curl with a non-waterproof formula. This is why I need waterproof formulas to hold a curl. Almost all of my mascaras are in waterproof formula, and for the most part, all of them also give me super dramatic long curled lashes. But lately, I have grown a little tired of that look, so I was looking into softer mascaras and ending came across this one.

This mascara offers a lot of volume but not much length. This is a very natural looking mascara and it is definitely a day time appropriate mascara, though not one I would grab for dramatic lashes. It darkens the lashes and adds volume along with definition.
The wand is a traditional fiber wand that is shaped like a Christmas tree. The bristles are tightly packed together in a spiral shape, which helps in getting a really good amont of volume, but at the same time, prevents the brush from gliding though the entire shaft of the lash. It stops midway and barely coats the tips.
The formula is very dry, which is perfect for me, since it allows me to build up the mascara. This is long lasting and waterproof.  I have not experienced any smudging with this product, which shows that it is every resistant to smudging. The holding power of this mascara is only a semi-straight curl. My lashes have a lift but not a high one. This is also great for the bottom lashes as it dries very fast.
One thing Stila could improve on is the packaging. It is in a very cheap feeling plastic tube that has no weight to it, being a very light weight mascara tube. I personally like to feel like I'm holding something that has substance, which this lacks. And for $24 I think they can spend a little more and get better packaging.

Review: Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer

Heeelo my lovlies! Im here with a review on Stila's Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer. I got this at my local Nordstrom Rack for $12 dollars. This is normally retailed at $32 so when I saw it I was excited. The shade I have is 01 a peach toned moisturizer.
I don't know why but lately I have been looking into products that offer glowy skin. I have oily-combo skin so it is strange for me to purchase  products that essentially, make me shiny.  But here I am with a review on a product that does just that. So right off the bat this tinted moisturizer has zero coverage, that was really disappointing but I now use it for a different purpose.
Now, I don't use it for coverage but for days when my skin look a little dull and drab, I apply some of this to bring back some 'glow'. The glow in the is product is not shimmery, it is just a sheen. This will definitely be part of my winter/fall  routine. but for the summer it is a little too much. The texture of the product is like a thick watery gel like cream. It has a slight powdery scent kind of like lightly floral baby power. For a moisturizer it feels pretty good. Its fairly light weight and it absorbs into the skin.
