Review: bareMinerals: Mineral Veil

Hi everyone! I have a review on bareMinerals: Mineral Veil. This is a translucent finishing power for the face. This is formulated to set the makeup and have the effect of a "soft focus camera lens". This is formulated with out parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances and dyes. This is available at Ulta, Sephora, and bareMineral.com and stores, and retails for $20.
I picked this up at Ulta and honestly it was a at the moment buy. I came home and slightly regretted it mainly because I really didn't need a finishing powder, I almost never use liquid face products, my foundations are powder and I don't need to set that. But I justified it by saying its my only one and it can come in handy later, so I kept it.
Overall this is a good finishing powder, it does absorb excess oil and when I do use liquid products ex: BB creams or liquid foundations this does the job in setting and making my makeup last longer. This is very light weight and doesn't cake up on top of products. The finish this gives my face is very soft and matte. This is nice in the summer as well when I wear nothing on my face and just a dust of this to mattify my face. The oil control of this product is long lasting and does very well in heat and humidity.  I didn't find this to accentuation any pores on my face like some loose powders I've tried but sometimes it can make my face feel a little dry and tight. The dryness does go away after a while or if it really bothers me i'll just give my face a quick spritz with Fix + by Mac.
I think I made the right choice in keeping this, Its good and does the job, I'm not crazy over it because its not something I use on a daily basis but it is good to have in my collection for when I need to set liquid products and when I need serious oil control.

Review: MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation NC 35

Hello! I have returned! lols Idk why I had such a long hiatus but I'm back now, with lots of review and  fashion posts!
I have a new review today. I'm excided! this is my first MAC powder foundation. This is the MAC Studio Fix powder foundation. I have it in the color NC35. This is part of the permanent range at MAC and is available at any MAC counter or store. This is $29.99 and has 15grams of product.  That is a lot of product. That will last me a long time so the 30 dollar price ticket is okay, plus I love this product enough to justify it.
I love this powder! This has been my go to face powder since I got it. This powder is medium/full coverage but is light weight. This is a great powder, it offers good coverage, light weight on the skin,  and is long wearing. This evens out my skin tone and offers medium coverage and then with a second layer it can easily be full coverage.
My skin loves this powder too, I have acne prone skin and it didn't break out at all. This is a great foundation for oily skin because it absorbs oil very well and stays matte for a long time.
A big worry I had with this powder was the fear of cake face, because it's a full coverage powder, luckily tho I'v never had that problem and even if I used too much powder my skin, through out the day would take out the powdery look. And if that didn't work FIX+ works great at de-powdering and refreshing the skin.
Overall I really like this powder, great coverage long lasting and awesome color selection.

Review: UNT Ideal Glow Powder Foundation

Herro there, today I have a review on a powder foundation by UNT a Taiwan based company that make great skin care and makeup. Ideal Glow is a waterproof, oil free, anti-aging compact powder. This powder is formulated to be sweat proof  and weightless feeling on the skin. The powder is very soft and light. This is very bendable and feels light and silky on the skin.  This is available at ShopUNT.com for 21.99. You get 12g of product and it will last a long time.

The powders are imprinted with the UNT brand on top and it comes packaged in a sleek white and black compact with a decent size mirror. I like the packaging, it is very classic and sturdy. The compact can withstand damage, I've dropped my compact a couple of times and it hasn't broken.

This is marketed to be waterproof and have anti-aging and care against hyper pigmentation. I find this to be great at being "waterproof" my makeup is till on at the end of the day and it doesn't fade away. I use this religiously during the summer because it holds up so well.  As for Hyper pigmentation I haven't really noticed any change, but that could also be because I have recurring acne and scars so if it fade any of my old scars my new ones just replaced it. So I don't have any marker to tell if it helped.
Ideal Glow comes in 5 shades the lightest being Snow H05 and Golden H20 being the darkest. The color range is very limited, This is great for people who are NC/NW 35 and lower any darker and these will not be compatible with deep skin tone. H20 Golden is the perfect color for me and I range from an NC30-35. Golden is a perfect match to NC 30, but when I'm NC 35 in the summer I have to use a bronzer to darken it just a bit.
I have two of the shades available, Snow and Golden. My cousin introduced me to this brand and bought me my first compact. Golden, I have repurchased and I'm still using my first Snow.
This powder is medium coverage and can be full with more layers but what I like is that it blurs the appearance of acne/acne scars. It neutralizes the redness so it looks less apparent.

Here is Snow, this is a very light powder way too light for my skin but it makes for a great matte highlighter. I like to apply this to the tops of my cheeks, bridge of my nose and then take Golden and blend it all together to get that really natural subtle highlighted effect.
Swatch: Top, Golden. Bottom, Snow
Overall great powder foundation, perfect for an active person because it is sweat-proof, great for summertime and places that are humid and hot. I took it to Vegas and it held up great!

Victoria's Secret: Radiant Face Trio

Victoria's Secret: Radiant Face Trio retails for $16 at any Victoria's Secret store and online. It is currently on clearance at Victoria' Secret website for 8. This is a limited edition powered.

This is a very cute three toned facial powder that can be used to highlight any part of the face. The exterior packaging is a pretty reflective gold with leopard print, which is mirrored on the product it self.
The one I have is called White Hot which is the lightest of the four shades available. This powered is marketed as an all over face powered but this is way to shimmery  for all over, you will end up with a frosty face.
This is a perfect powder for highlighting the cheek bone area, underneath the brows, cupids bow, and or any where you want something on your face to stand out.
This is a very shimmery highlighter and if I'm not careful I can get really shiny really fast.
I like to use this on days when my skin looks really dead and lifeless across my cheek bones just to bring back some radiance.

Physicians Formula Happy Booster Powder

The  Happy Booster Powder is a super cute  line from Physicians Formula that came out in February of 2011. It features heart shaped patches of powder inside of a cute pink compact. The compact is beautifully pressed together forming a mosaic style powder. The heart shaped design is extremely cute and unique. I love to just look at it. It makes me smile! The powder is soft and finely milled which goes on the skin beautifully and leave a nice glow.

The one I have is the Translucent powder. $13.99 at any drugstore. This powder is smooth and is a satin finish which helps in achieving a glowy look. This powder is scented a nice rose scent which Physician claims that it increases the endorphins in the brain to make you "happy". idk about that but I do enjoy the scent, I think it smells nice.
The effects of the product is like of a pearl like effect with out it being in your face BAM. And because of that effect I like to use this powder mostly for setting my under eye concealer.  I just swirl my brush in the product to get a nice combo if all colors. It sets my concealer with out caking up and it helps to brighten the area.  This is also  perfectly fine as an all over face setting powder because the shimmer in the product is very fine and it will just leave a nice glow to the skin.

The compact is constructed like so. It comes with a two tone flat brush which I don't personalty like but for on the go it is convenient.
I think this product is incredibility cute and  a great all over setting powder or as a highlight.
