Review: Sephora Outrageous Metallic Taupe: Picture&Swatches

Hello everyone! I was at Sephora over the past weekend and I was in the clearance section looking around and I found this jewel! I remember Beauty Broadcast raving about this shade of taupe from Sephora and I had to get it to try it. I;m so glad I did, every thing Emily said was true. This rich and creamy shadow applies super smooth on to the lids and truly can act like a one eye look. This is a pigmented pressed shadow with a textured  layer.  I just have to load up my brush once and it will give my lids the most beautiful wash of color on. This applies to the lid like a silver dark gray and will fade a almost purple color in the crease when blended. This is super beautiful and a great pick. This was only $7 on clearance and if  you come across this shade at Sephora I highly recommend you pick it up!

Review: The Balm NUDEtude Pallet

Hello makeup junkies! Today I am excited to do a review on the NUDE tude eye shadow pallet!This is a fun neutral palette with a twist. I purchased this pallet when Hautelook was having a flash sale on BALM products. This is another installment in the neutral pallet category ever since the Naked pallet from Urban Decay came out. This was on sale for $18 when regular price is close to $40. 

This one from the balm has 12 eye shadows that are all rich and pigmented. First thing I want to talk about is the fun packaging. This pallet comes in two forms a basic pallet with no pictures and this version with scantily clad women with the shadows strategically placed to cover any indecent places. I think this super fun and cute.  This is packaged In sturdy paper/ cardboard material, with magnetic closer. It has a very nice size mirror

Sassy (white frost)

Stubborn (pale shimmering nude pink)

Selfish (metallic true taupe)

Snobby (light gold)

Stand-Offish (metallic champagne)

Sultry (matte neutral brown)

This cluster of six eye shadows are great for day time looks. The mix of light and medium tone shades makes for great color combos for soft eye looks and day appropriate smokey eyes. I personalty like using the last two colors on a daily basis Sultry (matte neutral brown) and Selfish (metallic true taupe)

Serious (true matte black)

This cluster of 6 is my favorite part of the pallet, here is all of the rich dark shadows. I can use all of these on a daily basis and create new looks all the time. Sexy is my favorite of the whole bunch. This rich maroon red is great in the crease to add darkness and hit of warmth to the eye shadow fade. Seductive and Silly are also very nice, Silly is a dark brown with gold glitter. If I pat on the color the gold glitters show up and looks gorgeous. The black and brown colors are excellent edition to the palette especially since they are matte. The black and brown are rich and pigmented, making for great shadows for liner and outer crease colors.

Overall I love this pallet  the mix of colors is unique and different, each color is unique and work great in this pallet. There is no dud eye shadow. All of the colors are pigmented and smooth. I love the packaging  its is fun and silly and makes me smile. That is what I love about the Balm products, the sassy titles for products and quirky packaging make the brand stand out.  This is a super fun pallet, it has a wide range of neutral colors and deep colors that it is universal and easy to use. This is a great buy and pallet to have in a collection. 

Review: Wet and Wild eyeshadow Trio: Walking on Eggshells

Hello there my eyeshadow junkies! Today I have a review on the Wet and Wild eyeshadow Trio: Walking on Eggshells. I first heard about this specific trio from Beauty Broadcast or Emilynoel83 on YouTube. She raved about this and iv been wanting to try Wet and Wild Shadows for a while and this was the perfect trio for me to tryout. 

I got this on my trip to Ride Aid and this was only 2.99 so cheap. What I love about the Wet and Wild brand is that there products are very inexpensive but the product quality they sell is unbelievably high quality. Iv tried their eyeliners and brow kit and everything Iv tried from this line I have loved.

Walking on Egg Shells is a very beautiful trio. This is a brown and pink combo with a white eyebrow shade. All three colors are shimmery and very pigmented. These shadows are smooth and creamy. They apply to the lid so easy. These can be a little powdery but there are ways to lessen fall out onto the face. The only color I would have to worry about is the crease color.

The browbone color is a shimmery white color. This is really pretty as an inner corner highlight, lid color and if used lightly a browbone color.

Crease color is a petty bronzy brown. Its a medium brown color. I like this color very much I really like this all over my lids and that's it! This is a one color look for me and I love it.
Lid color is a light champagne pink color.  Its a light color that is really pretty. I like to uses it as a blending color over the crease color. I'm not a big fan of pink on the lids and then the crease color, for my eye shape that doesn't work for me. What works better is laying down the crease color as a lid color and then using the lid color as my blending/crease color. The pink helps to warm up the brown and add a pink tinge the eyes and make them look "romantic"

Overall I really like this trio. The colors work great together and make for an array of looks. The pigmentation of the shadows is great and Wet and Wild have really stepped up their game and are making amazing products and I am most definitely going to try more of there stuff.

Urban Decay single eyeshadows

Hello! today I have a review on the Urban Decay single eye shadows. I'm so excited to have these eye
shadows to share. I grabbed these beauty's when Urban Decay had a clearance sale and these puppy's were only 9$ a piece. I finally was able to test out UD legendary matte eyes shadows and these are awesome  I'm really happy that I picked these up! 

I picked up Perversion and Secret Service. These are excellent matte colors Perversion is a very pigmented black that is super creamy and smooth. Secret Service is a warm medium brown and is my favorite color out of all the ones i bought. This has become my go to crease color, it is perfect to lightly define my crease and acts like a natural shadow crease in my eye. 

From left to right is Freelove, a warm peachy pink. It has golden shimmers and has a smooth and creamy texture. When I swatch the shadow it is super smooth. I picked it up because I was looking for a pink eye shadow that would be a great color to add a warm flush to a look and it works great as a blush in a pinch! Next is Blaze a golden shimmery bronze color. I love this color. For me it is a great color to smooth all over my eye lip and is a great one shadow look. I like to mix it with Secret Service for my every day look. 

When I saw ABC Gum was on sale I had to get it. I heard many good things about this shade, that it is a great matte highlight shade. ABC Gum is a off white cream Matte eye shadow. I like it alright, I didn't fall in love with it like I did with Secret Service and Blaze but its nice to have in a collection

 Overall I am very happy with these eye shadows. The colors I got are perfect for me, I use them everyday and are my most reach for eye shadows to date. Across the board the quality of the shadow is excellent  creamy, smooth, and pigmented. Classic quality's in almost all Urban Decay eye shadows. Very happy with these!

Review: Color Tatoo EyeStudio 24 hour Eyeshadows

Well hello theeerrr!

I finally gave in and picked up the new Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow and I have a review on them. These were quite a challenge to get, especially these two colors. These are by far the most popular ones out of the range because these were always sold out. Tough as Taupe, and Bad to the Bronze are the neutral colors in this range. This has a wide range of colors, bright blues, turquoise, greens and purples. This are long lasting cream eye shadows that are great by them selves or as color bases. These are about 5.30 each at Wal-mart. Incredibly affordable and a great product. This, I can say is one of the best product Maybelline had come out with in a long time.

These are very long lasting and don't crease on me for a decent amount of time. I can wear these all day about (8) hours and not have to worry about creasing. Especially if I add an eyeshadow on top I have nothing to worry about.

Tough as Taupe

A matte taupe color, more on the cool side. It is a very grey toned taupe, I almost don't want to describe it a taupe because its mostly grey on my lids and in the pot. This is sheer in application but is build able. It is easily bendable on the lids.This one I don't really like to wear it alone on my lids,  I use it as a color base for my grey smokey eyes, or I will smudge a little bit of it on the outer corners of my bottom lash line to help subtly define my bottom outer corner.

Bad to the Bronze

A warm golden brown bronze. I really love this color, it's a great brown color that has gold shimmer. I love this one. This is now my go to eyeshadow color to wear everyday. I love that I can smudge some of this on my lids and blend the edges and then be done. This one is more pigmented with one layer on the lids then taupe and is build-able. 

 

I think these are great products to grab, they have a wide range of great color for people who love bold colors and some for people who like there neutrals and browns. This are long lasting and make nice color bases. 

Review: Milani Baked Eye Shadows

 Hi every one I am back from my break and I have loads of stuff to share! Today I have a review on the Milani Baked eye shadows. I got these puppys off of Cherry Culture when they were having a 20% off sale on their site. These were in the clearance section.  I have 4 shadows, three marbleized and one metallic.  These eye shadows can be used wet, for a more intense look or dry, for a softer look.

 Mix it Up 609: this is a black shadow with teal and silver simmer, with a silver white marble running through it.

 This one is my favorite of the bunch, Intermix 612, a warm reddish brown with champagne color marble. And gold shimmer.

 Medley 610: is a greyish black with lots of silver shimmer

 Teal the Truth 605: is my only metallic shade, this is a very vibrant teal/turquoise color that is beautiful.

Over all I like these shadows, the Darker shades I like to use wet most of the time because it has the best payoff that way but they are also great for darkening the crease area when dry because it is sheer and leaves less room for error. Intermix is the only one I prefer dry, the color  mixed together and as a wash of color all over my lids, makes for a very quick and easy brown eye look with a darker brown at the lash line. 

I do however dislike the packaging of this product. The shape and size relative to the product is large and unnecessary. The shape of the case makes it hard to conveniently store it and all of the excessive packaging is very annoying. 

These also come with applicators that are double ended, ones a sponge tip and the other a brush. I like that its double ended but the curve of the applicator is awkward which makes it difficult to use.

UD: Clearence sale is Legit!

Hey y'all! 

I just finished a huge purchase from urbandecay site sale. Right now their site has populare items on sale for cheap. I'm talking Haultlook cheap and less. I got more 

cream shadows, 

a tinted moisturizer,

 liquid liner

and an eye shadow palette

 all for $47.33, Tax and shipping included. That is insane! I calculated my savings and if I were to pay for all of those items without the sale I would have payed over $150. Crazy! I just had to share.

Urban Decay Cream Shadow

 I LOVE Hautelook. They were having an urban decay sale and these were only $3 a piece compared to $18 a tube regular retail this was a deal I couldn't skip over. I couldn't resist so I I picked up four colors

1. Mushroom: a silver grey color
2. Midnight Rodeo: a champagne pink
3. Rehab: a brown taupe
4. Whipped: strawberry peach color

I love theses very pretty colors  I think these are great colors for Fall. All of the colors have a metallic finish. Whipped and Midnight have a more shimmery finish  very metallic and Mushroom and Rehab are less shimmery, more satin like.

What I realy like about these products is the convience factor. These are very easey to apply because of the doe foot applicator. They glide onto the lid and blend very easly. 

These cream shadows make awsome color bases these are nice and tacky, so it will grab the shadow. But dries very quickly and will last all day long. On me the cream shadow on its own  lasted all day long and through out work.  I have oily lids and I have to use a primer in order for my eye makeup to last, but these didn't require a primer. I was very happy when I realized that.
Overall I think these are great products. Perfect for on the go. If I didn't have time to do my makeup in the morning I could just chuck this into my bag and apply on the go. 

Review: LORAC Haute Couture Palettes: Avant Garde and Sand Tropez

Hello! I am  here with a haul/review on LORAC Haute Couture Pallets: Avant Garde and Sand Tropez. I purchased these off of Hautelook. I have always wanted to try LORAC products but they were always a little pricey for me. So when I saw that Hautelook was having a sale on their products, I was like, "perfect opportunity to try it out".

On Hautelook, I purchased two eye shadow pallets for $14 each. That is an impeccable deal in my book. These are from the Haute Couture collection. One in Avant Garde and Sand Topaz

The first thing I noticed about the palettes was that the case top was soft like a pillow. This was very different from anything that I own, and it added to the whole theme of the collection. It has a lace mesh over a white pillow stuffing on top and I like the palette that comes with a dual end shading and angle brush. I actualy like the brush provided. It worked very well for a provided applicator.

Here is the Sands Topaz palette. It is a gorgeous brown natural palette.

 

This palette has two matte shades and two shimmery shades. The first color is a matte cream white, very nice for a highlight shade. The second color is a white gold champagne color with a satin finish, a very pretty lid color and great for the inner corners of the eyes. The third color is a medium warm brown that is a satin finish. The last color is a dark matte brown. 

I found this palette to be my favorite out of the two I bought. Because the palette is so versatile it makes for a great everyday palette. When I first received it, I used it everyday.

This is the Avant Garde palette. A lovely purple pallete great for colored smoky eyes.

This palette's eye shadows all have satin and shimmery textures. The first color is a shimmery white, the second is a cool tone taupe satin finish, the third a glittery gray, and the fourth is a dark plum.  My favorite color out of this palette is the cool taupe color and I love it on the lids by itself and with some mascara. The biggest disappointment was the glitter gray eye shadow. I was really hoping for the gritter to show up on my lids but it doesn't. If I pat it on it will be there but any amount of blending will make the glitter fly right off. This  palette hasn't received as much love from me as the other palette. namely because I don't often reach for dark colors in the day time. Rarely on the days I go out and most definitely not to school.

Overall, I am quite pleased with my purchase, the quality of the shadows speak for them selves they are majority smooth and pigmented. They apply on the skin very effortlessly and are lovely to look at. The packaging is really nice and it makes for a good show piece.
