Physicians Formula Happy Booster Powder

The  Happy Booster Powder is a super cute  line from Physicians Formula that came out in February of 2011. It features heart shaped patches of powder inside of a cute pink compact. The compact is beautifully pressed together forming a mosaic style powder. The heart shaped design is extremely cute and unique. I love to just look at it. It makes me smile! The powder is soft and finely milled which goes on the skin beautifully and leave a nice glow.

The one I have is the Translucent powder. $13.99 at any drugstore. This powder is smooth and is a satin finish which helps in achieving a glowy look. This powder is scented a nice rose scent which Physician claims that it increases the endorphins in the brain to make you "happy". idk about that but I do enjoy the scent, I think it smells nice.
The effects of the product is like of a pearl like effect with out it being in your face BAM. And because of that effect I like to use this powder mostly for setting my under eye concealer.  I just swirl my brush in the product to get a nice combo if all colors. It sets my concealer with out caking up and it helps to brighten the area.  This is also  perfectly fine as an all over face setting powder because the shimmer in the product is very fine and it will just leave a nice glow to the skin.

The compact is constructed like so. It comes with a two tone flat brush which I don't personalty like but for on the go it is convenient.
I think this product is incredibility cute and  a great all over setting powder or as a highlight.

Best summertime Facial Sunscreen

The Neutrogena ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 70 is by far my favorite facial sunscreen.
It is a light weight non greasy feeling sunscreen that does not break me out. I like to put this on after my moisturizer and let it absorb into my skin for at least 5 minutes before I do any other makeup. I doesn't make me excessively greasy or make my face feel heavy. At first I was a little worried that it would leave a white cast on my face because the SPF is so high but it surprisingly didn't and it blended right into my skin in seconds. The consistency of the sun screen is of a watered down cream. It is one of the thicker sunscreens I've tried but it is easily bendable and dries to a matte finish, perfect for people with combo to oily skin.

This is also waterproof and sweat proof so it is a perfect sunscreen for the  really hot summer days. This is does have a slight fragrance, but it mostly smells like regular old sunscreen.  This provide protection from both UVA and UVB rays. This retails for about 9-11 dollars depending where you get it. I however got my at Costco last summer, two for $14. Even though it is about a year old it still in the same condition as it was last year. It hasn't developed any discoloration or smell.

For me this is a summer must have and I never step outside of my house without this on :)

Urban Decay's Naked Pallet

I finally got my naked palette. I've wanted this since it came out last year. In this palette you get 12 full size eye shadows, a mini primer potion, and one Karma shadow brush. The pallet it self is a beautiful chocolate colored velvet case with the pallet name in bold gold text. the palette opens and closes via magnetic and is fairly sturdy, however if you plan in traveling with it I suggest putting a rubber-band around it to insure security. This palette retails for $48 at Urban Decay website and where ever Urban Decay is sold. If you are new to Urban Decay Makeup and you don't have a lot of eyeshadow, this is a great pallet to purchase. 1 you get a good selection of neutral colors and 2. you get to try out Urban Decay eyeshadow. That is the case for me. I have never owned any UD eye shadows before this and this is great for me to see if I like UD quality eye shadows.
Inside of the palette there is 12 full size pans of Urban Decay eye shadows. All are incredibly smooth and pigmented. In this palette you get a full range of neutral colors from the  very soft and light colors to the dark sultry colors that are great for smokey eyes. This palette has it all and is a great starter palette for though who are just starting out with makeup because it provides all the colors needed for beginners.
Now on to the colors!
Of the 12 colors in this palette there are 2 matte, 3 satin, and 6 shimmery colors
starting from the left we have

This palette comes with one of Urban Decays professional quality, cruelty-free good Karma Eyeshadow Brush. It is a paddle shaped brush perfect for packing on the color onto the eyelid. The brush is incredibly soft and pliable with some give. The brush is dense enough to make application of color easy and effortless. It also come with a travel size bottle of Urban Decays very popular Primer potion.
These are the swatches of the colors in the same order as above

Over all I love this palette. It was become my everyday grab and go palette. It has all of the colors I use everyday and because there is a wide range of colors I can turn my day look into a night look in seconds.
Best investment ever!
