Urban Lights

Hello pretty people!
I have found my parka jacket at last! I have been searching for this style of jacket for a long time. I was never ready to pay the hefty price tag some of these jackets go for but! Cotton On, my soon to become my favorite store had this jacket for $40 and I was like "hallelujah!!!"  finally it's in my price range. I'm so glad I found it. I have been wearing it none stop. This is hands down my most versatile jacket. I took a trip to the LACMA museum for fun and I wanted to be warm yet comfy. My graphic tee and beanie are a must and I'm really into tights and shorts again so that is a normal recurrence in my outfits nowadays.
The museum has so many cool structures and exhibits. A great place to spend the day, plus its near the Grove and they have really good restaurants near by!
Have a great day friends:)

Vampire Vixen

Hello beautiful people! I just came back from my friends Debut. She had a beautiful silver and black themed party in her own beautiful home. Her entire house was completely decorated, filled with food, desserts, a punch fountain, dj, photographers, and a photo booth! I know my outfit isn't completely silver and black, but I didn't pack any silver clothes. I recently bought this new red velvet skirt and it was the nicest thing I had. I mixed it with a black cami and the only silver jewelry I had. A simple silver stone necklace and a silver spiked headband.
I really like this outfit, I felt like a sexy vampire with the rice color of the skirt and the silver jewelry I had a great time filled with friends, food and fun.
Sorry for the quality of the photos, I forgot my camera and had to use an Iphone5 with flash :(

Sweater Weather

The cold is here! I got to wear my new sweater cardigan I got on sale at Aeropostale. This sweater was so warm and cozy. With the scarf and boots, it finally feels like fall. Here in So-cal were cold weather is rare and  I will take any opportunity to layer and wear my sweaters, scarves and jackets. This particular day the morning was freezing and foggy. My thick cardigan and scarf kept me very warm, but by mid-day I had to take off everything it was just to hot. That's so-cal for you, I hope everyone is having an awesome day! Till next time!

Army Fringe

Hi Everyone! Cotton On was having a great sale and I found this mens shirt for $5 I loved the graphic print so I bought it and I turned it into a DIY project. I cut the bottom up to create fringe. It adds texture and visual interest. Even though it is fall time and it is getting chiller each day, which by the way I am LOVEING, I will still wear my favorite white shorts. I can break out my favorite jackets and boots to add layers and  layers of clothes. That makes dressing up so much fun!
Hope everyone is enjoying this fabulous weather as much as me.

To the Dog Beach

Hello lovelies! I hope every one had an amazing Saturday, me and my bestie went to Huntington beach again to relax at the beach and see Corgi's at the "Corgi Beach Day". It didn't quite as we planed it but it all turned out okay because we got to see the cutest pure white Siberian Husky puppy at the pier. She was such a sweet heart. So friendly and lovable. Makes me want a puppy so bad. For the beach trip I wanted to be comfortable yet mostly covered. It was a very cool and windy day, I chose a dark blue 3/4 length sleeve top with white shorts. I made my beach bag, it is my first DIY project and I love it. It  was so easy and can be made out of anything.

I hope every one had an amazing weekend. Its finally starting to cool down and the weather is entering fall. I'm excited for the season change, time for sweaters and jackets!
Happy Weekend!

Lifes a beach!

Hi everyone! I have survived my first week of school and to celebrate we headed to Huntington beach! My friends and I were craving the sun and water and whats better then the beach. It has been so long since I last was at a beach and I missed it so much. I love the smell of the sea, the salty air and hot sand. Since I was going for rest and relaxation I wanted to be a comfy as possible. I wore my swimsuit out and put on a kitted cover up with a pair of white shorts and my Rainbow flip flops.

Review: Sephora Outrageous Metallic Taupe: Picture&Swatches

Hello everyone! I was at Sephora over the past weekend and I was in the clearance section looking around and I found this jewel! I remember Beauty Broadcast raving about this shade of taupe from Sephora and I had to get it to try it. I;m so glad I did, every thing Emily said was true. This rich and creamy shadow applies super smooth on to the lids and truly can act like a one eye look. This is a pigmented pressed shadow with a textured  layer.  I just have to load up my brush once and it will give my lids the most beautiful wash of color on. This applies to the lid like a silver dark gray and will fade a almost purple color in the crease when blended. This is super beautiful and a great pick. This was only $7 on clearance and if  you come across this shade at Sephora I highly recommend you pick it up!
Here are some close up picture of the shadow, you can really see the texture and the color.

This is an eye look I did using only the Taupe shade.
I really hope everyone can find this color and pick it up!
Hope you enjoyed this post!

Trick to Silky Straight Hair

When I was really young I had super straight, long hair. I never had to worry about frizz or flyways but as I got older and began to style my hair more, I noticed that my hair started to lose its bone straight appearance and started to changing to have slight wave in the strands. I've actually come to love my new hair, it give me more body and shape to my hair with out having to style it. But there are days when I want bone straight hair and it took me a while to figure out a combo of products that could give me straight hair with out weighing it down.
My trick is to start with damp hair and use a in leave in conditioner spray and my current favorite is the Aussie Hair Insurance leave in conditioner. I like doing this trick when I do morning showers and when my hair is still damp I spray this all over my hair and try to coat as much hair with as few spritz as possible. I like this one because it smells like coconuts. It also acts like a detangler, which is a god send for me, as my hair gets longer it gets extremely knotted and tangled even after I condition it in the shower.
After the spray is worked into the hair I finish off with Biosilk. I use only a quarter size amount of product and massage it into the strands only middle to tip. I avoid the roots to avoid an oil scalp. I picked this up for $17 at Ulta and I'm glad I did. This helps to smooth out my hair while protecting  and adds a great shine.
I apply this with my hands and smooth it onto my hair. What I really like about this is that I can use this wet or dry. This is the final step to my trick. Biosilk adds the needed shine and slick to my hair that makes it stays strait and smooth. Another plus is that this smells amazing and it last a while in my hair.

This combo of products has helped me in keeping my hair nourished and  looking healthy.  I like to use the leave in conditioner everyday just to keep my hair detangled and conditioned and this combo help me to get my straight hair. I highly recommend both of these products! I hope this trick helps you achieve straight, smooth silky hair!
Granted I know I already have mostly straight hair this trick can still work with anyone. This could be a finishing step to freshly straitened hair to add shine and silkiness. Never the less I hope this helps!

Oh you Blue thang!

I really love the color blue! While writing this post I have come to notice that I have alot of blue things. My bedroom is blue themed, blue bags, gym clothes, trainers, and every cellphone and camera I've ever had has been blue! Crazy, and my love of that color has been incorporated into my daily outfits!
