Tag: 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty

Yay! Beauty tag, thanks Connie for the Tag! I actually first saw this tag on YouTube from BeautySavvy. Whom I love, she has such great personality.

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
  • My most inexpensive beauty item? that's kind of difficult because I can usually find some good stuff at my local 99 cents store that is super cheap. But the cheapest item I use on a daily basis would be my grey eyeshadow that I use as an eyebrow powder by LA colors that I got for a dollar at Dollar tree.
  • My most expensive item is my UD 15 year anniversary eyeshadow pallet. MAN biggest single item splurge yet! wheew!!!!! 55 dollar price tag was steep, but a good friend gave me an Amazon gift card and it covered! thanx!

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
  • WATER PROOF MASCARA!!!!!!!!!!!! omg I love my mascara but it can be the biggest pain the but to take off. But because I love the look of lots of lashes and long full eyelashes, I always use it. unless I'm too lazy to care or I just cant be bothered anymore. I actually went through a phase were I just wore regular mascara. It was very refreshing in the sense that I didn't have to spend so much time removing my makeup at night and it was less of a chore.
3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?
  • ummmmmm........ idk how to answer this because I dislike my products to taste like food. It doesn't appeal to me.
4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
  • Lips: I cant be bothered to reapply it every time it wears off, lip balms are the way to go!
5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
  • sigh I hate to say it but it has come to the point where I kinda have to wear a powder foundation every day. Now I truly feel like a slave to makeup :P

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
  • To have character, personality and the ability to make me smile,  be passionate, whether it be about me or his own personal passions, to be a gentlemen, and an awesome smile is nice too.

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
  • hmm, rather than a specific item, I would much rather get gift cards or something like that, because there is so much that I want to try and experience that I can't narrow it down to something specific.

Haul!

Hi guys, it has been a while since I've last posted, but school has really begun to pick up and I haven't had any time to blog! :(  but I have some coming out soon! and here, I did pick up some goodies and I'm here to share.
I did a major purchase on UNT website to buy backups of my favorite powder foundation, the Ideal Glow, and while I was there I wanted to try their new Dewy Finish Powder Foundation. The Acne Clear was a free gift with purchase. Next, my trusty eyelash curler broke on me today so I did a quick emergency run to Ulta and picked up a new one, its by Japaneque, Its called the Power Curl Eyelash Curler and it was expensive! 19.00 jeesh... it better be the best eyelash curler Iv ever tried! lol JK we'll see. While I was there, Ulta was having a buy two Maybelline products get one free, so I picked up some new mascaras to try, and the new Age Rewind concealer I've heard good things about.
We shall see... Happy shopping friends! until next time!

Happy Valentines Day: Forever Alone!

Happy Valentines Day friends! Hope it was a fabulous one too! Me? I'm all alone but that didn't get me down, instead I dressed up ready to strut my stuff and looked fabulous! You guys should try it! If you're down in the dumps for any reason dress up and wear something that makes you feel special inside and what ever makes you happy. If you feel happy and you feel confident your mood will always be lifted.
Today's outfit is  a striped tee and a faux fur vest sweater thing, and over that is a dark coat. My bottom is covered by some lace tights and black shorts. I also wore it with combat boots to toughen it up!.
(lol sorry for the fail photo its not the best  but it works. I think, if not sorry!)
What also helps to lift a mood is retail shopping! I finally picked up a Revlon Lip Butter, I've been hearing lots of good things about it and Iv been intrigued to try. So far I like!

Review: Loreal True Match Roll On Foundation

Hello! I have returned with a new review on a foundation. This is on Loreal True Match Roll On Foundation. This retails for about $10-12 at Walmart, however I picked this one up in clearance, for $7. The shade I have is in Sand Beige W5-6. Sand Beige had tones of yellow which makes it great for my skin tone, however this is 1-2 shades too dark for me. This has spf 25 and is scent free.
The product itself I really like. This is a cream foundation That dries to a dewy finish. I do however like to powder my t-zone and keep my cheeks dewy for that "healthy look". It had medium coverage that is build able and is very easy to blend. This is pretty long lasting and fairly light feeling on the skin. I only apply one thin layer to even out my skin tone, so for me it feel nice and light.
The idea behind this product is to take the roller applicator and roll it across the face to give an even application. I like the applicator. It does a great job to evenly apply the product and leaves a great finish. Another way I like to apply this is with my elf flat top brush and buff the product into the skin.

As you can see from the swatch this is wicked dark. I wore it out to school and thank god it was an over cast day and I didn't really see anyone because my chest and face didn't match. I got into my car and saw myself in the mirror and went O_O. It wasn't a crazy and obnoxiously noticeable, but to me I saw a difference and I was going to have none of that. If only it was a shade lighter :( oh well, its too dark for all over my face but it would make a great cream product to contour with.
Although this is way too dark for me to use, the product itself is very nice. Good coverage, bendable and light feeling.

Hair Tools: Conair Instant Heat 1 Inch Curling Iron

Hair Tools! Today's Review is on my one of my favorite hair tools;  the curling iron. The one I have is by Conair, and it is the 1 inch Instant Heat iron. I got this at Target for under 10 dollars. I think I payed $9.99. I picked this iron out because it has a
  1. Swival cord
  2. long extension cord
  3. Ajustable heat settings
  4. "turbo" instant heat setting
  5. Simple on and off button
I really like this Iron, this iron heats up incredibly fast I can plug it in and press the on button and in literally 30 seconds the iron is hot and ready to go. And if I push the turbo button it heats even faster. I love this function! It makes the iron heat up so fast its ridiculous and makes this iron perfect for people who don't like waiting or don't have the time to wait for an iron to heat up. This iron has a swivel base and a nice long cord. My biggest peeve is when the cord is ridiculously short. The clamp has a good grip on the hair, so my hair doesn't slip through.
At the base of the iron is a dial that controls the temperature. It has a range from 1 to 25.  I like to keep it at 18-19 for my fine hair. 1-10 is for easy to curl hair, 10-20 for medium difficulty to curl, and 20-25 wound be for hair that is super stubborn.  This iron is great. With this iron I get beautiful curls that last a long time. With this I can create lush curls or bomb shell waves ^_^ lol

Great drug store iron, for $10 this is great. Creates long lasting bouncy curls. LOVE!
